Audio Books for Kids

Recently, I came across audio books for kids... again.

Why again? Because I have already used them years ago.

As a teacher I had to have some audio books in the classroom for the kids who haven't yet mastered reading.

So what has changed since then that makes me so enthusiastic about these books?

For years, I had to be satisfied with a limited amount of audio books because I couldn't find more in the book stores. And now, there is a wide selection of digital audio books available for download.

This is a great change, because the kids no longer have to listen to the same old books over and over again. The wide selection of books will enable them to enjoy many different books.

Knowing all this, I have decided to search the web. I was curious, how many parents are aware of the existence of audio books? Who uses them, and for what purpose?

I was totally amazed at what I have found!

Audio books are very popular these days. Many parents purchase them for themselves or for their kids for many reasons.

Here are some of the reasons that I have found for using audio books for kids:

• Audio books keep the kids busy while travelling
• Parents use audio books as a strategy to encourage their kids to read books
• They use them as an activity for the little ones who haven't learnt how to read yet
• Audio books are a great solution for kids with reading disabilities

Kids have always been a big fan of hearing stories. And now they can do it without any help.
