Easter Games for Kids

Try These Easter Games for Kids at Your Next Party!

Are you looking for Easter games for kids? Are you planning a class party but are lacking ideas for fun and entertaining group games? Here are a few ideas that will ensure you have lots of fun during the upcoming holiday.

Where has the Egg Gone?

  • The kids sit in a circle.
  • Choose one child to be "The Rabbit" and send him/her out of the room.
  • It is his/her job to find the egg that has been hidden amongst the children.
  • The rest of the kids sit with their hands behind their backs and have to pass the egg from one to another without "The Rabbit" noticing.
  • If "The Rabbit" discovers the egg, the child who was caught with it has to go out of the room and becomes "The Rabbit", and the previous "Rabbit" who found the egg returns to his/her seat.
  • If "The Rabbit" does not discover the whereabouts of the egg within three guesses he/she must take a seat in the center of the circle until another "Rabbit" is "out" and only then can he/she return to their place in the circle.

Where is my Rabbit?

  • Arrange pictures of rabbits made from construction paper, in a circle.
  • Choose one less child than the number of rabbits on the floor.
  • Each child receives a plastic egg, and begins to move around the circle to music. When the compere stops the music, each child must grab a rabbit and place his/her egg on top of it.
  • The child who is left without a rabbit asks: "Where is my rabbit?" the other kids must reply ""Here he is."
  • The compere gives him/her a rabbit and both player and rabbit leave the game.
  • The game continues in this way until the last child who is able to place his/her egg on the final rabbit.

Two Rabbits and One Egg

  • Ask the kids to divide themselves into couples. Give each couple a different number. After giving out the numbers ask the kids to set in a circle. kids who have the same number must not sit next to each other.
  • Place an egg at the center of the circle. When the compere shouts out a number the two children who received that number must race to grab the egg.
  • The first one to get the egg is the winner, and must give their friend a task.
  • Once the task has been completed both participants return to their places in the circle and the game continues.

The Speedy Rabbit

  • Arrange hoops on the floor to coincide with the number of participants; (alternatively, you can draw circles in place of hoops).
  • Each child stands inside a hoop.
  • Plastic eggs are placed in the center of the circle.
  • Each participant must run to the center of the circle, to collect eggs and place them inside his/her hoop.
  • You may only collect one egg each time you leave your hoop.
  • Once all of the eggs have been collected from the center of the circle, the eggs that are in the other participants' hoops must be collected.
  • It's forbidden to guard your personal hoop.
  • The first one who manages to collect at least a third of the eggs is the winner.
