Flower Crafts

On good days I advise you to go out in nature and look at the beautiful natural blossom of the flowers, but what do you do when that's not an option? You bring nature home!

Here are some ideas for flower crafts that you are welcome to try out.

Crepe Paper Flowers

Materials:

• Red crepe paper
• Green wired stem
• Wooden skewers
• Green tape

Fold the red crepe paper in half. Repeat this step two more times.	Cut the crepe paper along the folded area from both sides.
Fold it into an accordion.	Wrap one end of the wire around the center of the crepe paper and then around itself.
Thread the skewer through the loop and wrap the remaining wire around the skewer.	Gently pull the top of each piece of paper toward the center of the flower, separating each sheet of paper from the others.
Wrap green tape around the skewer to create the stem.

Repeat the above steps to make additional flowers.

Egg Carton Flowers

Materials:

• Egg carton
• Paint
• Paint brush
• Scissors
• Pipe cleaners
• Beads
• Wooden skewer

Cut out cups from the egg carton.	Paint each cup using acrylic paint and allow to dry.
Make a hole through the bottom of each cup using a skewer.	Push the pipe cleaner through the hole and insert a bead onto it.
Push the pipe cleaner down through the same hole and twist it.
