Family Invented Card Game- "Got Your Number"

by Julie, A.
(Miami, Florida)

Our family invented a fun family card game 144 cards in total , Numbers 1-12, 12 of each, Ages 5- to adults can play. My children love it and so do the adults - its exciting, shouting fun game.

I copyright it/patent- and have prototype cards if needed.

I Got Your Number

When your card matches another player, the first of the two players who shout out the chosen name first - wins their cards!

This game is fun for the entire family or with friends. The game is best played between 4-10 players.

Directions

  1. Decide on a category (Sample of categories enclosed).
  2. Each player chooses a subject name from the chosen category (No player can choose the same subject name). Every player has to announce their name at the beginning of the game. The name only has to be announced once, at the beginning of the game, that’s all. The player does not have to give his name out again after that.
  3. Shuffle all 144 Cards.
  4. Deal all 144 cards face down, (Each player is dealt the same number of cards).
  5. Decide on a player to start the game.
  6. Chosen player will begin the game by flipping the top card from their deck (Away not towards them) face down on the table.
  7. Clock wise, the next player flips their top card face down, and then so forth.
  8. With each flip there is a possible match. Once a card is flipped face up, each player quickly checks all other players’ top cards which are faced up. If a match occurs, the first of the two matching players who calls out the other chosen subject name first, wins the matching opponents faced up cards. (One must call out the other players name before the next player flips their card face up)
  9. Any player who runs out of cards to flip is out of the game, their remaining faced up cards, will be given to the next winning player. (Exception, if in any complete round everyone runs out of cards, then each player will shuffle their faced-up cards and face them down to play)
  10. The player left with the most cards, wins the game.
  11. Note: If can’t decide who shouted name first, then the tie breaker will be this…. The player on the left of the player who last flipped the matching card will ask the two players a question regarding a memory or something they did together or know of.
