I've found that my Grandkids love to video tape themselves. Mostly dancing, a play they made up, playing house.

It keeps them busy for hours with sets, wardrobes and scripts.

It sounds like your grand kids had a great time recording themselves. My kids also love to videotape themselves, but I have never used it as an activity. Nice idea, I will try it this summer.
